Snow Smiles in Jackson

Written by Kyra Demla | Feb 26, 2019 4:01:38 PM

With almost 40 inches of snow in the past few days, it is no wonder the smiles and stoke is high in Jackson Hole right now.  It is another epic winter with record breaking snow totals.  February is not quite over and the February snow record was broken mid-month.  As if breaking a snow record half way through the month wasn't enough, Jackson Hole continues to get dumped on.  It just snowed 2 more feet in the past 48  hours.  This puts the record in the books and holds a high bar to be broken.

There were kiddish giggles anticipating the ski day ahead as I stood in the Tram line.  People are so giddy and snow jolly happy with the never-ending powder days.  Jackson Hole is legendary for large amounts of snowfall, however this season just seems to be epic with accumulating inches of powder It seems like every week there are at least a few powder days.  Not just a few inches, but big dumps leading to double digit snowfalls.  In between the powder, the sun shines offering the best of the best - a bluebird powder day.

Everyone (well almost everyone) seems to have a big smile on their face.  Take advantage of your Icon pass and get to the mountains where winter continues.  There are still several weeks left in the ski season and as we approach March, longer days will have us yearning for more snow combined with the warm sun.

Lets keep the smiles and stoke high.  Ski and ride safe and enjoy all that Jackson has to offer!
