New Snow and Santa on the Tram

December 19, 2019

There is a lot of stoke around winter snow and happenings in Jackson Hole, Wyoming right now.  After back to back snowstorms over the past few weeks, December snow totals are starting to add up quick making an incredible base at the resort.  Not to mention there are plenty of powder stashes to be had.

Excitement rang through the Village with the announcement of Sublette lift as well as the tram open, which allows access across the resort and up to the top of the mountain.  The tram is an experience not to forget.  Taking in the views from the top of the tram station are some of the best in the world.  Gaze out over the Tetons and down at the Wyoming valley filled with beautiful ranch land and steep mountains.  The skiing and riding terrain from the tram is also incredible.

If you’re visiting Jackson over the holidays, be sure to put these fun events on your list.  The third annual ‘Winter Welcome’ event is happening on December 21st from 3:30 TO 6:00 pm at Jackson Hole Sports.  The Teton County Search and Rescue has teamed up with Jackson Hole Sports & HIW for a fun afternoon welcoming in winter with huge raffles and a presentation of Teton County Search and Rescue.  It is a great way to learn about winter safety on and off the resort as well as have a little winter fun.

Another event not to miss is Santa arriving in classic Jackson Hole style; by tram.  On December 24th the most magical appearance of Santa takes place under the tram at 4:30 p.m.  Santa comes into Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on the tram.  He will rope down from the tram to visit with kids and spectators.  This is not your usual sleigh ride arrival so be sure to check out this unique event.
