Jackson Hole Holiday Fun: Great Family Friendly Events

Visiting Jackson Hole over the holiday season is the most magical time of the year!  Holiday Round-Up is the theme with daily events and happenings for the whole family.  Holiday Round-Up is put on by the Teton Village Association and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  Have your first sighting of Santa as he drops out of the tram.  Or better yet, take a run down the mountain with Santa himself! 

Other activities include star gazing, movie nights and learning about the avalanche dog.  The activities are all centrally located in Teton Village for all ages.  See the Holiday Round-Up schedule below:

-Dec 21: Launch GLOW Fest

-Dec 22: Kids movie night

Enjoy Saturday with a movie on the big screen.  Kid-friendly and open to families of all ages.

-Dec 23: Ornaments & tree decorating
Enjoy the classic of decorating ornaments and tree.  All ages will enjoy this activity!


-Dec 24: Santa drops out of Tram
Join under the tram around 4:20 for a special arrival and welcome in the holiday season…. This may be the most unique Santa arrival you will ever see!

-Dec 25: Ski with Santa
Keep your eyes peeled as you may see Santa skiing on Teewinot or Casper.

-Dec 26: Raptor Night
Come to the Kids Ranch from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. where Hawks, Eagles, Owls and Falcons take the center stage.  This incredible opportunity is presented by the Teton Raptor Center with fun, up-close learning opportunities.

-Dec 27: Star Gazing
Star Gaze under the magnificent Wyoming winter sky!  A local expert will be educating folks on the galaxy of starts seen from Wyoming and surrounding region.  Come to the Teton Mountain Lodge Rooftop from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

-Dec 28: Skating
From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. check out Teton Village’s new ice skating rink!  The whole family will enjoy free skate rentals, hot cocoa and cookies.  

-Dec 29: Cats & Dogs
Not your normal hangout with cats and dogs.  This opportunity gives a behind the scenes glimpse that the normal visitor (or local) might not ever see.  Meet an avalanche dog and have a tour of the snowcat.  Come to the kids ranch from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. to experience dogs, cats and safety. 

-Dec 30: Cookie decorating
Come to the kids ranch from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. to enjoy a sweet treat.  Every kid can decorate a cookie and take it home. 

-Dec 31: Glow Worm Parade 
Watch skiers holding lights as they make their way down the mountain for an incredible display that looks like a glow worm.  A winter favorite not to be missed.
